The last few weeks have been not only busy, they’ve been exhausting and kind of difficult. With the election aftermath, the beginning of studying for finals, registration for spring classes, I’ve been stressed, sad, and to be completely honest sometimes very lazy and unmotivated.
This past week was Thanksgiving, so I decided to come home to Florida to spend the holiday with my family and friends. That was the best thing I could have done to relax and re-engerize. Coming home is kind of like a double edged sword for a few reasons,
- You get to see everyone you miss, but saying goodbye at the end of the week sucks.
- You get to relax while you’re home, but theres always that voice in the back of your head reminding you its ending soon.
- Have I mentioned I hate saying goodbye?
I did find plenty of new inspiration though. That’s the great part of having the incredible friends I do, they’re all insanely inspiring.
I managed to do a photoshoot with some of my favorite people yesterday (those pictures should be up soon), I got to go to all of my favorite restaurants and even take some time to myself to just drive around and appreciate the warm weather.
All in all, coming home was a good idea. It gave me some time to really reflect on how happy I am that I made the decision to move. Being 1,200 miles away from the people I grew up with is one of the scariest things I have ever done, but it was the only way for I myself to start to really grow up. As someone who used to be terrified of change, being comfortable with it now is huge progress. I think that’s something everyone should experience.
I’m sorry about the lack of posts, but I am entirely inspired and ready to make some great content in the next few weeks. (pics above not mine, but they make me happy)
